The briefing began with an overview of the Prime Minister of Pakistan\u2019s official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain from 26\u201327 November 2025. The spokesperson said that during the visit, the Prime Minister met with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and received the prestigious Order of Bahrain (First Class). He also held discussions with Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, highlighting the potential to increase bilateral trade from over USD 550 million to USD 1 billion within three years, supported by the Pakistan\u2013GCC Free Trade Agreement and recently eased visa requirements.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said the Prime Minister invited Bahraini investors to explore opportunities in sectors such as food security, IT, construction, mines and minerals, healthcare, renewable energy, and tourism. Both leaders expressed confidence that their discussions would translate into tangible outcomes, further elevating Pakistan-Bahrain relations across strategic, economic, security, and people-to-people domains. The visit also reflected on historic ties, including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah\u2019s role representing Bahrain as its lawyer.<\/p>\n
Accompanying the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Bahrain\u2019s Minister of Finance and National Economy, H.E. Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The spokesperson said they reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing Pakistan\u2013Bahrain relations, particularly in fintech and banking, and discussed exploring central bank collaboration and establishing joint teams to develop a roadmap for economic partnership.<\/p>\n
The briefing also highlighted the visit of Dr. Ali Ardeshir Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, to Pakistan from 25\u201326 November 2025. The spokesperson said Dr. Larijani held delegation-level talks with the National Security Advisor, President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister\/Foreign Minister, and Chief of Army Staff. Discussions focused on political engagement, trade and economic collaboration, counter-terrorism, border security, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.<\/p>\n
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutual prosperity, regional peace, and stability, as well as coordinating on key regional and international developments.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said the Ministry condemned remarks made by the Indian Defense Minister regarding Pakistan\u2019s Sindh province, describing them as \u201cdelusional and dangerously revisionist\u201d and in violation of international law and sovereignty. The briefing also noted concerns over human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), highlighting arbitrary detentions, custodial abuses, suppression of press freedom, and persecution of minorities. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute based on UN Security Council resolutions and called on India to end coercive measures and release all arbitrarily detained individuals.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson said Pakistan also expressed concern over flag-hoisting at the so-called \u201cRam Temple\u201d on the site of the Babri Mosque in Ayodhya, urging the international community to safeguard Islamic heritage and protect religious and cultural rights of minorities in India.<\/p>\n
Addressing developments in the Middle East, the spokesperson said the Ministry strongly condemned attacks by Israeli forces in Gaza, which resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children. Pakistan reaffirmed its support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.<\/p>\n
Finally, the spokesperson said the briefing noted Pakistan\u2019s re-election to the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for the 2026\u20132028 term. Pakistan has contributed constructively to the objectives of the CWC since its ratification in 1997, hosting routine inspections and providing leadership within the organization.
