Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has not yet made a final decision on whether to boycott the newly established Federal Constitutional Court, according to the party\u2019s Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.<\/p>\n
Speaking to journalists outside the Islamabad court, Raja said the party will hold internal consultations before deciding on its approach. \u201cThe court has now been established. Regarding the case related to PTI founder Imran Khan\u2019s solitary confinement, we will decide whether to participate or not, but no final decision has been taken yet,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
President Asif Ali Zardari recently signed the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which led to the creation of the Federal Constitutional Court. The court, headed by its first Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan, will exclusively hear constitutional cases.<\/p>\n
PTI had opposed the 27th Amendment during parliamentary proceedings, boycotting the voting process in both the National Assembly and the Senate.
