Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch may have celebrated her coronation as Miss Universe 2025, but the celebration was quickly overshadowed by serious allegations from a former judge claiming the result had been predetermined.<\/p>\n
According to media reports, Lebanese-French composer and former Miss Universe judge Omar Harfouch alleged that the decision to crown Bosch was made in advance due to the purported business interests of Miss Universe Organization head Raul Rocha. According to Harfouch, Rocha had business ties with Bosch\u2019s father, which he claims influenced the outcome.<\/p>\n
Announcing his resignation from the judges\u2019 panel, Harfouch said he had publicly predicted the winner 24 hours before the finale during an interview with HBO, asserting that \u201cMiss Mexico will win.\u201d He further claimed that in Dubai, Rocha and his son personally asked him to vote for Bosch because \u201cit would be beneficial for our business.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Miss Universe Organization rejected the allegations outright. In a video statement, Raul Rocha said he had removed Harfouch from the judges’ panel because his public remarks were damaging the reputation of the charity initiative \u201cBeyond the Crown.\u201d Rocha also released text messages showing the official notice of Harfouch\u2019s removal.<\/p>\n
In response, Harfouch insisted he had been forced to resign due to what he described as \u201cimproper conversations.\u201d He went further to allege that a \u201csecret committee\u201d had selected 30 finalists even before the preliminary rounds, while also hinting at a supposed romance between a contestant and a committee member.<\/p>\n
The organization has strongly denied all such claims, stating there was no secret selection committee and no manipulation of results.
