The petitions have named the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the National Assembly as respondents through their secretaries.<\/p>\n<p>Petitioners argue that the amendment has diluted the original powers of the Supreme Court, effectively turning it into a federal constitutional court, weakening judicial authority and threatening judicial independence.
