Villagers would also taunt him, saying his son always appears to get beaten in films.<\/p>\n<p>Siddiqui explained that at the time, he was mostly offered minor roles such as thieves, pickpockets, or weak characters. Despite his struggle to land better roles, his father told him not to return home until he secured more meaningful parts. As a result, Siddiqui stayed away from his village for three years.<\/p>\n<p>He added that his career turned around with the success of \u201cGangs of Wasseypur\u201d.
