The application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.<\/p>\n<p>The Inspectorate of Prisons Punjab has issued instructions to all jail superintendents to implement the new digital system. Each prison\u2019s Prisoners Management Information System (PMIS) in-charge has also been provided specialized training to operate the app effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, operational videos have been shared with the jail staff to help them understand the app\u2019s use and assist visitors efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities have directed that staff be deployed at waiting sheds in prisons to assist visitors in online bookings, while dedicated facilitation counters are also being set up for those arriving with prior online appointments.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the initiative aims to improve the prison visitation process, reduce overcrowding, and make the system more transparent and accessible for the public.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Punjab prisons department has introduced a mobile application to facilitate advance booking for meetings with inmates across jails in the province, including Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
