In a recent statement, Riaz who is known for launching several major names in the country\u2019s fashion and entertainment industry, expressed concern over the growing influence of social media and the \u201cculture of showmanship\u201d in Pakistani society.<\/p>\n
\u201cSocial media has changed the fabric of our society,\u201d he said. \u201cPeople are now more focused on appearances than reality. They flaunt their expensive clothes, jewelry, and wealth as if encouraging others to chase the same luxuries \u2014 often mocking those who cannot afford them.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking about award ceremonies, Khawar Riaz remarked that many Pakistani actresses \u201cseem obsessed with wearing Western-style gowns\u201d when they should instead reflect their national culture.
\n\u201cI see everyone dressed in Western gowns at award shows,\u201d he noted. \u201cThey should appear in traditional Pakistani styles that represent our heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n
