The Punjab government has decided to bring Afghan nationals into the provincial tax network and tighten monitoring of illegal foreign residents, as part of new administrative and security measures.<\/p>\n
The decision was made during a high-level meeting on law and order chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, according to an official statement issued by the provincial government.<\/p>\n
The meeting also approved the creation of real-time data on illegal Afghan residents living in different districts across Punjab.<\/p>\n
Under the new plan, a whistleblower system will be introduced to help identify illegal immigrants. The government assured that the identity of informants will remain strictly confidential.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Punjab administration has decided to launch a combing operation against illegal foreign residents and their businesses, while Afghan nationals living without legal documents will be deported in line with federal government policy.<\/p>\n
