Pakistan\u2019s Armed Forces have killed more than 200 Taliban and affiliated terrorists while repelling an unprovoked attack launched from across the Pak-Afghan border, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in an official statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to ISPR, on the night of October 11 and 12, 2025, Afghan Taliban and Indian-sponsored Fitna al Khawarij (FAK) launched a coordinated assault involving firing and multiple physical raids along the border. The statement described the attack as a \u201ccowardly action\u201d aimed at destabilizing Pakistan\u2019s frontier regions and facilitating terrorism in line with FAK\u2019s \u201cnefarious designs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Exercising the right of self-defence, Pakistan\u2019s Armed Forces decisively repelled the assault all along the border, inflicting heavy casualties on Taliban fighters and their allied terrorists groups. Precision fires, aerial strikes, and physical raids were carried out against Taliban camps, posts, and terrorist training facilities operating from Afghan soil, including elements linked to Fitna al Khawarij (FAK), Fitna al Hindustan (FAH), and ISKP\/Daesh.<\/p>\n
The ISPR said all possible measures were taken to avoid civilian casualties and prevent collateral damage.
\nAs a result of Pakistan\u2019s counter-operations, multiple Taliban locations were destroyed along the border. ISPR confirmed that twenty-one hostile positions on the Afghan side were briefly captured, while several terrorist training camps which are used to plan and coordinate attacks against Pakistan were rendered inoperative.<\/p>\n
During the overnight clashes, twenty-three Pakistani soldiers embraced “shahadat” while defending the country\u2019s territorial integrity, and twenty-nine others sustained injuries. Credible intelligence reports indicate that more than 200 Taliban and affiliated terrorists were neutralized, with a significantly higher number wounded. The Taliban\u2019s infrastructural damage including posts, camps, headquarters, and support networks, was described as \u201cextensive,\u201d spanning from tactical positions to operational depth.<\/p>\n
ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan\u2019s Armed Forces remain fully prepared to protect the country\u2019s sovereignty and its citizens. \u201cOur resolve to defend Pakistan\u2019s territorial integrity and to defeat those who threaten our security is unwavering,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
The military emphasized that Pakistan prefers constructive diplomacy and dialogue over conflict, but warned that it will not tolerate the use of Afghan soil for terrorism. The ISPR expressed concern that this \u201cserious provocation\u201d occurred during the visit of the Taliban Foreign Minister to India that is \u201cthe biggest sponsor of terrorism in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the interest of regional peace and security, we call upon the Taliban Government to take immediate and verifiable actions to neutralize the terrorist groups including FAK, FAH, and ISKP\/Daesh which are operating from their territory,\u201d the statement said. \u201cOtherwise, Pakistan will continue to exercise its right to defend its people through persistent neutralization of terror targets.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement urged the Taliban Government to prioritize the peace, prosperity, and development of the Afghan people over \u201cirresponsible sabre-rattling.\u201d It said the incident validates Pakistan\u2019s long-held position that the Taliban regime continues to facilitate terrorist activities.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf the Taliban Government continues to sponsor terrorist outfits, in cohorts with India, for the shortsighted objective of destabilizing the region, the people and the state of Pakistan will not rest until the menace of terrorism emanating from Afghanistan is completely eliminated,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
