The routes between Islamabad and Rawalpindi remain open for now, but authorities said they would be closed if the situation demands.<\/p>\n<p>A high-level meeting on law and order, chaired by City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani, was held to review security measures. The CPO directed police officers to ensure that no road is blocked and that normal life and traffic flow are not disrupted.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that any violent activity under the guise of protest would not be tolerated, adding that lawbreakers would face strict action.
