The Sindh Education Department has carried out large-scale transfers of more than 10,000 teachers across the province in a move aimed at improving education standards and reviving non-functional schools.<\/p>\n
According to the department, the reshuffle will help reopen 1,320 previously closed schools and address a shortage of 1,550 teachers in various institutions. Officials confirmed that in Karachi and other districts, 1,328 schools that had only one teacher will now receive additional staff to strengthen classroom teaching.<\/p>\n
The transfers have also been made under the wedlock policy, with a total of 1,671 teachers shifted to new postings. Among them are 1,198 female teachers whose transfers were carried out with consideration for their convenience. In addition, 473 male teachers have also been reassigned.<\/p>\n
