Pakistan Embassy in Beijing hosts Pakistan Professional and Student Forum

The Embassy of Pakistan hosted the “Pakistan Professionals and Students Forum” today, centered around the theme “Building Bridges between Academia and Industry.” The event brought together esteemed government officials, private sector representatives, academia members, and a large contingent of Pakistani professionals and students residing in China.

The forum featured a pre-recorded message from Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, emphasizing the crucial role of bridging academia and industry for national development and prosperity.

The Federal Minister commended the Pakistan Embassy for providing a platform for Pakistani students and professionals to interact and exchange ideas on leveraging current and emerging opportunities in the industry. Messages from Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Mr. Moin-ul-Haque, former Ambassador of Pakistan to China, and Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, were also shared during the event.

In his welcoming address, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi praised the Pakistani community for their contributions in solidifying the ‘all-weather strategic cooperative partnership’ between China and Pakistan. He emphasized the Forum’s significance in enhancing interactions, exchanges, and networks among Pakistani professionals and students. The Ambassador outlined his vision of transforming the Forum into a permanent annual feature, with active participation and involvement from the Pakistan community.

The Forum also included panel discussions where speakers delved into current industry trends, highlighting the opportunities stemming from China’s heightened focus on new quality productive forces. They stressed the importance of bolstering the knowledge corridor between China and Pakistan as part of efforts to foster an even stronger community for the shared future of both countries.
